 The Fallsview Casino complex features a casino,
Hyatt hotel, extensive meeting and exhibition space,
a world-class retail facility, restaurants, and entertainment
venues and will enhance Niagara Falls’ status as a premier tourism destination.
The 2.45 million square foot Casino complex, with a project cost of C$800 million, is located on Fallsview Boulevard overlooking the falls and includes a casino, a 30 floor hotel, meeting and convention space, a 1,500-seat performing art centre, and world-class retail, restaurants and entertainment venues.
The design of the casino and tourism components preserves the natural beauty of the Niagara escarpment and stimulates the use of existing and future regional tourism facilities. This concept reflects international trends in attraction development which are geared towards making the best use of an existing space and linking with surrounding natural and developed sites.
Clare, Randall-Smith & Associates Limited was retained to provide mechanical and electrical construction budget estimates from concept through design development and final construction documents. During construction, we reviewed all mechanical and electrical construction and owner FF+E costs associated with the project including the contemplated change orders, price changes, field orders, and site instructions. We also assisted in the resolution of the mechanical and electrical contractor claims and reviewed progress draws.
